Why pond owners choose Anjon
Pumps in this line are built for continuous duty, and several use oil-free motors that keep oil out of pond water. The stone pieces are hand-carved basalt that adds moving water to a patio or garden without an open pond.
Most people come to these products for one of two jobs:
- moving water over a waterfall, through a skimmer, or around a pond on a 24/7 schedule
- adding a stone water feature with natural texture and the sound of falling water
The main types, and when each fits
The line divides into pumps and stone features. Within each group, the job you are doing decides the pick.
Energy-saving pumps
The Big Frog Eco Drive Waterfall Pumps use a hybrid drive motor, and the Monsoon Pond Pumps use an asynchronous motor. Both are oil-free, use a vortex impeller, and are listed with flow rates across heads from 5 to 25 feet (Eco Drive) and 5 to 30 feet (Monsoon).
Choose these when steady flow, lower running cost, and debris handling matter more than maximum lift.
High-head direct drive pumps
The Big Frog Pump Direct Drive models use a direct-drive motor for strong torque at tall lift heights, with flow listed up to 40 feet of head. A vortex impeller and intake screen pass solids.
Choose one when the waterfall is tall, the plumbing run is long, or you need real flow at the top of the spillway.
Magnetic drive pumps
The Flood Pond Pumps are listed as submersible and use a magnetic drive, oil-free motor with built-in overload protection and a design made for 24/7 operation.
Choose one when you want quiet, efficient circulation for a pond, a waterfall, or cleanout work.
External pumps
The LandShark External Pond Pumps use a direct-drive, self-lubricating motor with a self-balancing impeller and thermal protection. The DAB E. Swim External Pond Pump adds variable-speed, programmable control and is built to run quietly.
Choose one when you want equipment that stays dry and easy to reach, or the layout puts machinery outside the pond.
Basalt columns and stone fountains
Basalt sets come as three hand-carved columns in styles including All Natural, Top Polished, Top Dome, Textured Top, Canyon, Pyramid, and One-Side Polished. Singles include the Hourglass One-Sided and Black Twisted columns, and the Round Birdbath Basalt Fountain has a shallow rounded basin.
Choose a set when you want a tiered focal point, a single column when the space is narrow, and the birdbath when birds and a soft, low flow are the goal.
For other brands and styles, PondHaven also carries dedicated Pond Pumps, Submersible Pond Pumps, External Pond Pumps, and Basalt Columns collections.
How to choose the right pump or stone
A pump's flow falls as lift rises, so compare gallons per hour at the height your setup creates, not at the lowest figure on the list.
- Vertical lift from the water surface to the spillway or outlet
- Friction from pipe length, elbows, and fittings, which adds to the height the pump works against
- Pipe diameter, which caps flow no matter how large the pump is
- Debris load, since vortex impellers pass solids better than tight intake screens
For stone, the finish decides how the water looks and sounds. Polished channels and tops send water down in a smooth ribbon; rough natural faces break it up into a livelier splash. Column width sets how broad the fall is.
Placement, power, and support
Pumps used in the water sit in a pond, a skimmer, or a pondless vault, while external models such as the LandShark and DAB E. Swim are made to sit outside the water on a dry base near the plumbing.
Basalt is heavy, so a set or a single column usually needs a sub-surface basin or a reinforced pondless vault with a sturdy grate. Several pumps here are built for 24/7 operation, so plan on power that can stay on continuously.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about our anjon.
Can I run an Anjon external pump underwater?
No. The LandShark and DAB E. Swim are made to sit outside the water on a dry base. The Flood Pond Pumps are listed as submersible for in-water use, and we can confirm which other models fit your layout.
Are Anjon pumps safe for koi and plants?
The Big Frog Eco Drive, Monsoon, and Flood pumps are built with oil-free motors that keep oil out of the water your fish live in.
What is the difference between Big Frog Eco Drive and Big Frog Direct Drive?
The Eco Drive uses a hybrid motor designed for lower running cost, with flow listed across heads from 5 to 25 feet. The Direct Drive line builds torque for taller lifts, with flow listed up to 40 feet of head, plus a vortex impeller and intake screen for solids.
Do the basalt sets come with a reservoir basin?
Check the product page for each piece, or ask us and we will confirm it. Basalt is heavy and needs a basin or a reinforced vault, so it is worth knowing before you build.
