Why use EasyPro equipment
EasyPro gear is usually bought to solve a specific water problem: stagnant water, low oxygen, cloudy conditions, algae, muck buildup or ice damage around a dock or boat lift. Each product line does one job, so matching the system to the problem is the biggest step.
It is most useful on:
- ponds with fish or koi
- waterfalls, streams and pondless features
- ponds that lose oxygen in hot weather
- docks and shorelines that freeze in winter
- larger ponds and lakes with limited circulation
Equipment alone will not fix every water quality problem, but the right system helps circulation and oxygen levels and can support healthier conditions.
The main types, and when to choose each
Pond kits and pondless waterfall kits
Choose an EasyPro pond kit (Mini, Small, Medium, Large or the Eco-Series DIY kit) when you want open water, fish and plants, with a skimmer and filter you can service at the pond edge.
Choose a Just-A-Falls pondless waterfall kit when you want the sight and sound of falling water without an open pond to look after. Kits run from Mini to Extra Large, with layouts sized for short to long streams.
Aerators and de-icers
Choose a shallow water aerator (PA6SWN or PA8SWN) when the pond is 7 feet deep or less and you want oxygen and movement in shallow water.
Choose a PA series or high pressure rocking piston aerator for deeper water and larger ponds. Deep-water PA series kits cover roughly one to six acres and depths to about 50 feet, and the high pressure 2 hp systems handle deeper water and longer airline runs using smaller line sizes. Compare the full pond aerators range for models outside the EasyPro line.
Choose a dock de-icer when the priority is keeping water open around docks, piers and boat lifts through winter. These are diffused-air systems that work in shallow and deep water.
Pumps
- TM Series submersible pumps are built for high volume on large waterfalls, wide streams and pondless features.
- TH Series submersible pumps handle ponds, waterfalls and fountains in 115v or 230v models, built for continuous operation.
- TB Series submersible pumps are for high head work: tall waterfalls, long stream runs and demanding features.
- VSP165 is a variable speed external pump with digital controls, for when you want adjustable flow and lower running costs.
Filtration and spillways
Choose a pressurized bead filter when you want mechanical and biological filtration for koi ponds, hybrid ponds and fish-heavy systems. Models cover 1,800 to 10,000 gallons, with optional blower upgrades.
Choose the Skid Mount system when you want one pre-assembled, pre-plumbed unit with mechanical and biological filtration, UV clarifier, external pump and a valved bypass.
Choose Vianti Falls spillway kits when you want a smooth sheet of water over a wall, patio edge or entryway, indoors or outside.
How to choose the right size or model
Start with the job the equipment has to do, then match the model to the pond.
- Project type and water volume. A small garden pond, a pondless stream and a multi-acre lake need very different equipment. Filtration in this lineup is rated up to 10,000 gallons, while aeration scales to multi-acre ponds.
- Depth. Shallow and deep ponds can need different aeration systems even when they cover the same surface area. Check average and maximum depth where possible.
- Head height and run length for pumps. Wide, low falls want volume. Tall falls and long plumbing runs want a high-head pump.
- Fish load. More fish means more filtration, which is where the pressurized bead filters and skid mount systems earn their place.
- Liner conditions. Most backyard ponds and water gardens take 45 mil DuraLiner EPDM, sold in boxed sizes and rolls. Sites with sharp rock, heavy boulder work or commercial traffic are better suited to the 60 mil DuraLiner.
Installation, power and placement
A few requirements affect which product fits your site, so it is worth checking them before ordering.
- Submersible pumps and aerator compressors need a continuous electrical supply near the pond, pump vault or shoreline.
- Aeration compressors sit on dry land, often in a protective cabinet or a shed, with airline routed down to diffusers in the pond.
- Airline splits into two types: non-weighted poly tubing for the land run, usually buried in a shallow trench, and self-sinking Quick Sink weighted airline for the underwater run. Both come in 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch sizes, matched to the aerator's outlet fittings.
For liner steps see how to install pond liner, and for pump care see the pond pump maintenance guide.
What normally comes with a kit
Contents vary by product, so check the individual listing before ordering. In general:
- Pond kits. The Mini kit includes liner, underlayment, skimmer, filter, tubing, pump and sealants, and the Eco-Series DIY kit includes liner, underlayment, skimmer, filter, pump, tubing and PVC glue. The Small kit also includes lights.
- Just-A-Falls kits. The Mini, Small and Medium layouts include the spillway, liner, underlayment, pump vault, pump, pipe and fittings.
- Vianti Falls kits include the stainless spillway, molded basin, pump and flex pipe.
- Aeration kits. The DCS206HP and DCS210HP high pressure systems do not include tubing and come with fittings for 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch Quick Sink airline.
Not sure which one you need?
Send PondHaven your pond size, average and maximum depth, what you want the system to do, and what power is available near the water. We can point you to the EasyPro models that fit, or to another option in our pond aerators range if that suits your pond better.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about our easy pro pond products.
When should I choose a pondless waterfall kit instead of a pond kit?
Choose a pondless waterfall kit when you want the sound and movement of falling water without an open pond to maintain or secure. Choose a pond kit when you want fish, plants and open water as part of the feature.
Do I need weighted Quick Sink airline or non-weighted poly tubing?
You generally need both on an aeration run. Non-weighted poly tubing covers the land section from the compressor to the shore and is usually buried in a shallow trench, while Quick Sink weighted airline sinks on its own for the underwater run to the diffusers.
What is the difference between the EasyPro TH, TB and TM series pumps?
TM series pumps are built for high volume on large waterfalls, wide streams and pondless features. TH series pumps handle ponds, waterfalls and fountains in 115v or 230v models for continuous duty. TB series pumps are designed for high head, including tall waterfalls and long stream runs.
Can an EasyPro bead filter or skid mount system support a koi pond?
Yes, both are designed for koi ponds, hybrid ponds and fish-heavy systems. The pressurized bead filter covers 1,800 to 10,000 gallon models, and the Skid Mount system packages filtration, UV clarifier, external pump and a valved bypass on one pre-plumbed unit.
When should I upgrade from 45 mil to 60 mil DuraLiner?
Use 60 mil DuraLiner on sites with sharp rock, heavy boulder placement, rugged excavation or commercial traffic. The 45 mil boxed and roll DuraLiner suits most backyard ponds, koi ponds, water gardens and streams.
