EPDM Seam Tape Primer for Pond Liners
Seam tape and flashing tape only bond as well as the surface under them. Anjon EPDM primer prepares the liner so the tape bonds to it into one watertight joint. It is required with every Anjon seam tape and flashing tape.
• Required for Anjon Tapes: use it with 3″ double-sided seam tape and 6″ and 12″ flashing tape.
• Prime Every Surface: coat every surface the tape will touch, including both sheets of a seam.
• Two Sizes: 1 quart (32 oz) or 1 gallon.
• Made for EPDM: for 45 mil and 60 mil EPDM rubber pond liner.

How Much EPDM Primer Do You Need?
Anjon's own seam kits are a good guide. They include 1 pint with 25′ of seam tape, 1 quart with 50′ or 100′ of seam tape, and 1 gallon with 100′ of seam tape plus 100′ of flashing tape. If you are priming for flashing tape as well as seam tape, size up.
How to Apply EPDM Primer
- Clean every surface the tape will cover, removing dirt and oil, and let it dry completely.
- Brush or roll a thin, even coat onto every surface the tape will cover.
- Wait 15 to 30 minutes, until the primer is slightly tacky.
- Apply the tape, press it down and go over it with a seam roller.
- Let it cure for 24 hours before filling the pond.

Do I really need primer?
Yes. Anjon seam tape and flashing tape need primed surfaces to bond.
Quart or gallon?
A quart covers most single seams and small jobs. Choose the gallon for 100′ or more of tape, or when you are using flashing tape too.
Is primer included in the seam kits?
Yes. Every Anjon Seam Kit and the Deluxe Repair Kit include primer. The standard Repair Kit does not.
