Kasco Aerators

Still water can run short on oxygen, especially in warm weather or in deeper ponds where warm surface water sits over cooler water near the bottom. An aerator keeps water moving and mixes oxygen through more of the pond.

Aeration helps most in ponds that have:

• fish or other aquatic life
• deeper water that separates into layers
• organic buildup on the bottom
• corners or coves with little circulation
• odors or murky water that return each season
• wastewater or lagoon use where biological breakdown matters

Aeration helps improve circulation and can support healthier pond conditions, but it is one part of pond management rather than a fix for every water-quality problem.

Most of the choice comes down to where you want the water moved: agitated at the surface, sprayed into the air, or lifted up from the bottom.

Surface aerators

A Kasco surface aerator floats and agitates water at the surface, throwing it into the air as it works. It is a fit for shallow ponds, aquaculture, and murky or wastewater lagoons.

Aerating fountains

The Kasco VFX aerating fountain creates a V-shaped display while also circulating and oxygenating the water. It is made for ponds, lakes, golf courses, and marinas where appearance matters as much as water health.

Diffused bottom systems

A shoreline compressor pushes air through weighted airline to diffusers on the pond floor. The rising bubbles draw deep water toward the surface and circulate the pond, with no equipment floating on the surface and no electricity in the water.

Choose a diffused system when the pond runs deeper than about 8 feet, or when you want quiet operation and nothing visible on the surface. Start with depth, then add the pond's shape and your goal for the water.

• Depth is the first filter. Under about 8 feet points toward a surface aerator or fountain; deeper than that points toward diffused aeration.
• Surface area sets the scale. The Home Series is designed for ponds up to 2 acres, while larger or commercial water usually needs a bigger unit or more diffuser stations.
• Shape and layout. Long shorelines, coves, islands, or separate basins can leave dead zones that a single unit will not reach.
• Your goal. A surface aerator focuses on moving water hard at the surface, a fountain adds a display, and a diffused system keeps everything hidden and quiet.
