A GoBoat fills the gap between a paddle craft and a full-size boat. It gives you motorized cruising without the storage, transport, and launch logistics that come with a hard-hulled boat.

People usually buy one for a few practical reasons:

• No trailering or slip. It packs into a compact bag and fits in a trunk or closet, so you are not tied to a truck, a boat ramp, or a marina.
• No paddling. The electric motor does the work, which matters on longer outings or when you are fishing.
• Shallow and tight water. It gets into coves, flats, and small ponds where a fiberglass or aluminum hull would run aground.
• Fresh or saltwater use. The 2-person models are suited to both.

PondHaven carries three kinds of GoBoat product: one-person boats, two-person boats, and inflatable docks and ramps.

One-person boats

The GoBoat Freedom and GoBoat Fish are single-passenger boats. They are lighter to move around and simpler to handle on your own.

• Choose the GoBoat Freedom when you want a general recreation boat for cruising lakes and rivers.
• Choose the GoBoat Fish when angling is the point. It carries fishing gear and a cooler, and it can be set up with accessories such as rod holders and a fish finder.

Two-person boats

The Double models seat two people side-by-side on an extra-wide bubble seat, and their elongated deck adds stability. The hulls are made from durable Armorlite material.

• Choose the Double Freedom, Double Wave, or Double Sunset for cruising, family time, or fishing with a passenger. The Wave and Sunset differ from the Double Freedom mainly in color scheme.
• Choose the Double Fish when two of you want to fish together. It has T-slot rails for rod holders and more, along with deck space for gear.

Inflatable docks and ramps

These sit alongside a GoBoat or stand on their own.

• Mini Dock: attaches to your GoBoat as a gear pad or extra platform, and works on its own as a floating fitness board. It has an oar holder, storage bungees, built-in handles, and a carry bag.
• Dog Dock: a weighted mesh ramp, 3 feet 5 inches wide by 5 feet 3 inches long and 6 inches high, that sits at the water line so a pet can climb out. It also works from a boat, pool, or dock.

The X-DOCK and the 10-foot Inflatable Dock round out the dock lineup but are out of stock right now.

Work through these in order.

• How many people. One adult, or two sitting side-by-side? That decides between the single boats and the Doubles.
• What you will do. Cruising and family outings suit the Freedom and Double Freedom styles. Fishing suits the Fish models, which carry gear and a cooler and take fishing accessories.
• Who else is coming. Add the Mini Dock for extra gear or a swim platform, or the Dog Dock if a pet will be getting in and out of the water.
• Where you will boat. Farm ponds, inland lakes, slow rivers, and calm bays are the right environments for these boats.
