Installation & Operation
Installation
For optimal performance, install the Detox Dechlorinator vertically to ensure even water distribution. However, it can also be mounted horizontally if necessary. Both ends are designed to serve as either inlet or outlet points.
Connection Options:
- Garden Hose: The unit comes supplied with connectors for a standard garden hose hookup.
- Rigid Pipe: For hard piping, attach a single 3/4" union (female threaded to plain female, not included) to each end and connect 3/4” pipe. Use PTFE tape for a water-tight seal.
Before Operating
Flush the unit thoroughly before initial use to remove any dust or loose carbon particles. Continue to flush until the water runs clear.
Winter Storage
Do not use the Detox Dechlorinator in freezing conditions. Drain the unit completely and store it vertically in a cool, dark, frost-free environment to prevent algae growth.
