For water that has gone cloudy or grey with suspended particles you cannot filter out. Rapid Clear works by flocculation — it causes fine floating debris to clump together into particles large enough for your filter or skimmer to catch. Clarity usually returns within 24 hours.

This is a mechanical problem, not a biological one, which is why bacteria treatments do not fix it. If your water is cloudy but not green, this is the treatment for it.

Important

Rapid Clear only helps if the clumped particles get removed. Pair it with a fine filter mat and clean the filter after treatment, or the debris settles back out. Green water is a different problem — that is suspended algae and needs UV or an algaecide, not a flocculant.
