GCTek UniClear Filter for Color and Tannin Removal
Many times pond water is clear, yet the whites of the fish look yellow. That is color in the water, usually tannins. The GCTek UniClear Pond Filter absorbs that color with high-grade carbon and gives the water a final polish of fines at the same time, for the clearest water attainable. It runs alongside your main filtration and backwashes like a bead filter.
• Removes Color and Fines: High-grade carbon absorbs the color while the bed polishes out fine particles.
• Three Sizes: 1.75, 2.5 and 4.0 cu ft for ponds up to 5,000, 10,000 and 17,000 gallons.
• Longer Run Cycles: A new size of carbon and a new lateral assembly are designed to prolong run cycles between backwashes.
• Lower Profile: All units are LP (Lower Profile), so they are easier to hide.
• Backwashable, Replaceable Carbon: When the carbon stops removing color, simply replace it with new carbon.

Before You Order a GCTek UniClear Filter
- Size by pond volume: the 1.75 handles up to 5,000 gal, the 2.5 up to 10,000 gal and the 4.0 up to 17,000 gal.
- Install it with two 3 way valves to send water through the UniClear only when you need to remove color, or plumb it without them for continuous flow.
- The UniClear is a polishing filter. Pair it with a main filter such as the GC Tek AlphaONE or GC Tek AquaBead.
- Plan on replacing the carbon when it stops removing color.
