Please note: The EazyPod, EazyPodAir, and EazyPod Complete share the same core filter system. The EazyPodAir and EazyPod Complete models include a pump kit, while only the EazyPod is offered without one. The EazyPod Complete is the only version that includes a UV filter.
How It Works
Pond water enters the filter through an inlet. If your system includes the 18-Watt UV-C (EazyPod Complete), the water passes by the UV bulb first to help eliminate algae before moving on. Next, a stainless steel grill mechanically removes larger solids as the water flows into the outer chamber. Finer particles are then captured by 18 liters of K1 Micro beads in the center chamber, where beneficial bacteria and biofilms work to biologically polish the water. Clean, clear water exits through the return line and flows back into your pond.
During the cleaning cycle, the integrated air pump (included with EazyPodAir and EazyPod Complete) agitates the media, dislodging debris buildup for an efficient, automated backwash. For those seeking even more convenience, the optional EazyPod Automatic upgrade provides a self-cleaning function.
Installation Guide
Pump-Fed Setup
In a pump-fed installation, a submerged pump directs water into the filter, and after processing, the water returns to the pond by gravity via tubing, a waterfall, or a spillway box. All three models are suitable for this configuration.
Gravity-Fed Setup
For gravity-fed installations, the filter is placed at the same level as your pond. Note that only the EazyPod and EazyPodAir models can be installed in a gravity-fed configuration.
Maintenance
The EazyPod is designed for simplicity. In addition to routine backwashing based on your pond's nutrient load, you should periodically inspect the UV quartz sleeve (if applicable) for buildup and replace the UV bulb annually to maintain optimal performance.
