How It Works
Water enters the filter through the inlet and passes by the ultraviolet bulb (on the UV model), which helps reduce green water by eliminating single-celled algae. The water then flows into the outer chamber before moving into the inner chamber through a stainless steel screen. This screen, featuring specialized perforations, creates a dynamic flow that promotes both upward and downward movement, encouraging debris to settle in the outer chamber while the inner chamber and K1 Micro media capture smaller particles and biologically polish the water. Clean water then exits through the return outlet.
Installation Guide
The EazyPod Automatic is designed for pump-fed installations only. In this configuration, a submerged pump directs water to the filter, and after filtration, the clean water returns to the pond by gravity via tubing, a waterfall, or a spillway box. Its automated cleaning cycle – factory set for every 3 days and adjustable as needed – ensures hassle-free operation.
Maintenance
In addition to the automated cleaning cycles, regular maintenance involves checking the UV quartz sleeve for buildup and replacing the UV bulb annually. This simple upkeep routine keeps your system operating at peak performance, ensuring your pond remains clean and vibrant.
